History
2021
The decision was made to expand the company and take on additional floor space at our premises.
2019
We had another project reach the finals of the LABC Building Excellence awards 2019, for another private residence project which involved extensive additions and remodeling.
2018
The office had another makeover, we extended our services into 3D printing having invested in several 3D Printers and the team further expanded to 8 members.
2017
The team expanded from 3 to 5, taking on a new office manager and a young trainee architectural technician.
2016
Having completed one of our housing developments in Weymouth, this was soon after shortlisted for a Civic Award. We were also shortlisted for a LABC award for a private residents in Weymouth.
2015
The company moved from the garden office in Weymouth to larger premises, a Grade II Listed Victorian Warehouse, located on Durngate Street in the centre of Dorchester. Amy also completed her
Foundation Degree in Interior Design and has since become an Associate member of the British Institute of Interior Designers.
2014
Daniel joined the team having studied at Plymouth University to become an Architect. Daniel had at this point managed to complete his Part 1 in Architecture.
2012
The business expanded into a self-built garden office allowing Ross to take on staff and Amy who already accomplished a National Diploma in Interior Design, to continue studying for Degree Level.
2009
The Company was formed in 2009, originally a home-based company ran by Ross, a qualified Architectural Technologist who at the time had over 15 years experience in the design and construction Industry and Amy who started studying Interior Design. Ross spent many years building up a reputable client base working on various projects ranging from housing developments, private clients and various commercial projects including hotels and restaurants.

The Practice is made up of various individuals with varying background experience and skills which helps make Fisher design studio the diverse practice that it is. From solid technical backgrounds through to extensive knowledge of design, culture and context, when put together enables our practice to deliver projects to a high standard from sketch stage right through to handover.
