Planning Consent Granted

Fisher & Associates has secured Planning Consent for a substantial replacement dwelling outside the DDB near Martinstown, Dorchester Dorset.

Set into the hillside just north of Martinstown. The design seeks to respond to its setting through the use of local vernacular to overcome potential landscape issues.

One of the key constraints to overcome through the design process was the topography. The design seeks to reach up to daylight from the ground up, through use of roof windows and double height spaces natural light is able to reach right through to ground floor avoiding what otherwise could be a dark substandard form of accommodation.

Moving forward we hope to get a spade in the ground this coming summer.
